Check Engine Light

Hey I check my dash and I see the engine ligth on, so I try to know the code and when I did it, this comes out

Ligth on(check engine ligth): large period
then
Ligth on: large period
then small pause and
Light on: short period
then big pause and
3 times ligth on short period.

What can this mean¿?

Re: Check Engine Light (Leviata-N)

sounds like a:

long-long-short = 21 (VTEC spool solenoid valve)

short-short-short= 3 (MAP - manifold absolute pressure sensor)

that's your VTEC solenoid valve, without it you can't have VTEC at all.

Re: Check Engine Light (handa)

Ok, a small question, I my spark plug wires are in bad shape, so may be some is jumping in to the valve cover, so the engine is - and this electricity is + so can this make the ECU go crazy

yes, a bad wire onto the motor electrical circuit will cause it to go haywire and sensors to not perform right. make sure your motor is well grounded. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

from experience, a friend's car wouldn't start and his odometer goes up to 70mph when cranking...all due to bad ground wires. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif
