B20 questions need help.

Alright i got a b20b4 block and a p75 head. Well my question is can i use my gsr dizzy for that head and can i also use my gsr timing belt.?? I just dropped a vavle in my gsr so the head is no good and my block is still good just need to replace one piston and get the block bored over .50 cuz of dings. But i need a car and i got this b20 block laying around... Ohh yea and can i use a b16 intake manifold and a gsr tb with gsr wiring harness????

1.) yes you can use an vtec dizzy on a ls head. only 1 bolt out of the three will line up so you will leak some oil.
2.) not sure about the wiring harness but i know that all it would be is making wires longer so thats not a big deal

FYI it is not a good idea to only replace 1 piston. You will need to have the block honed, and in order for them to do that you will need to disassemble the entire block. Seeing is how the block will be completely bare, your best bet would be to replace all 4 pistons and rings.
Now would be a good time to start a build if that's what you had ever planned on doing to begin with. However, if you are on a budget, I would recommend looking for another short block. You can find them all over the marketplace and I'm pretty sure someone has one laying around in your area. The cost of pistons and machine work alone will exceed the price of a new/ used block you might find elsewhere.

Use the GSR harness, it should work. You'll have unused connectors tho, like for vtec, and knock, iab, etc..

All intake B16, LS, and Type R intake manifolds interchange. The GSR has a different bolt pattern.

The GSR throttle body will bolt to a B16, LS, Type R, D series intake manifold.
Just make sure you use a new and the correct gasket for the throttle body.

Hrmm i did some research on the b16 intake manifold... I dont think it will work cuz of where the coolant goes through. I think it will bolt up but it will need to be ported to fit the ls head??? Any one know bout this??

b16 intake manifold won't fit an ls head without modifications where it bolts up to the head. all honda b-series tb's are interchangeable. the wiring harness will work fine as long as it is the same obd series, you'll just leave the 2 vtec plugs, knock sensor, and iab unhooked.

Alright i got a Ls intake manifold aslo but its obd0.... will that workin ok in a obd1 car?? just if i change the tb and iacv??

Re: B20 questions need help. (GSR_hatch936)

it will work you'll just have to play with the vacuum lines since the nipples are in different locations on the obd0s and obd1s.
