Re: axle problems
is it too short or the rotor/hub isnt sliding all the way back to where it should?

Re: axle problems
it might be too short...i got this swap from a sleez ball so he might have fcuked me over...

Re: axle problems
what motor did you swap it with? all the d series use the same length axles so if you have the old axles it should work
|
Re: axle problems
it was just a shell when i bought it so it was a fresh start

Re: axle problems
the axle shouldnt be too short then... are you sure you have the hub pushed all the way back? i have had a similar problem before but it was just getting hung up

Re: axle problems
it might be that ill check tomorrow..im pretty sure i do tho. if it wasent a d series axle would it fit into the transmission?

Re: axle problems
I just replaced my axles on my 99 civic LX, I had similar problems. There was black paint sprayed on the wheel end of the axle from the rebuild. I took axle out again, wire brushed the paint off the axle ends. Then put some motor oil on both ends before replacing. Wheel side of axle was still a bit difficult to go in. Held hands at 3 & 9 o'clock positions on brake rotor and shook rotor back & forth and axle went right in/together. Make sure you ONLY PUSH or PULL on the center of the axle shaft if replacing or removing; axle may come apart if you push or pull on the ends.
