In a perfect world yea it would work,but u will have to see what was cut,was the knock Senor cut,etc...You will have to do a trail in error and see what happens when u plug the new ecu in, I can bet it won't work,been there with this same issue.

Yea I know what your saying. At first I thought you were only talking about the conversion harness part of things..but if everythings cut for obd1 it will suck because he will have to do everything you just mentioned

Other than getting the proper ECU the only other things that need to be done are:

Add a secondary O2 sensor - this may already be done in your case. The car is at least wired for it, so it's simply a matter of installing an O2 sensor and plugging it in (you may need to weld a bung to the exhaust depending on what's on there now though)

That should really be it, EX/Si models already have a fuel tank pressure sensor so you should have no issues there. As well both OBD1 and OBD2 B-series vtec ECUs look for knock so it should already be wired (unless you have a chipped ECU and it was disabled and never wired in)
