94 del sol/B16 with 165-175 psi cylinder compressions - Is this good?
So I have a 94 del sol with a b-16 and just did a compression test. It came up between 165 and 175 psi. The motor has 243 thousand miles. Is that good compression or what?

Should it increase or decrease?

Re: 94 del sol with b-16
increase.
chances are you'll be good with it post numbers after you do that. |
Re: 94 del sol with b-16
Sounds good. I figured with the amount of miles on the motor it would be less then that but I was pretty shocked.

The engine should be warm too.

What does holding the throttle WOT do? I know it cancels injectors (well on Fords, atleast).

The throttle angle directly affects the cylinder pressure when the intake valves close, so it'll affect your cranking pressure too.
