92 EG Idle problem
Hey everyone, Im having an issue here.
I have a 1992 EG hatch with a 99' GSR swap. I've just done a Skunk2 Intake Manifold swap along with a 68mm Omni TB. I have all the plugs plugged into the right sensors, all lines everything connected. I am using OEM gaskets for the manifold and the Omni gasket for the TB that came with. I've adjust the new Omni TPS to the same v as my old TPS. my issue is; when I start the car, its starts but Idles very low, maybe about 3-500, and the motor tends to shake. Anyone have any idea what could be the problem? It would be much appreciated! |
Re: 92 EG Idle problem
CEL codes?
Does the engine idle to spec when warm? Does you engine have an FITV? Have you cleaned the IACV? |
Re: 92 EG Idle problem
no CEL.
once i start the car with the OMNI TB, it idles low at start. but if I put the stock gsr TB back on with the stock TPS it idles just fine like it should |

Re: 92 EG Idle problem
My buddy has the same set up with a blox manifold and his ran perfectly fine untuned.

Re: 92 EG Idle problem
So you say. But... 1) we're not talking about your buddy's car and 2) how do you explain why it only runs correctly with the stock throttle body?
Maybe you should talk to your buddy and see where you're going wrong. But If the manifold was different, then it's not the "same" setup is it? And aren't you supposed to install the OEM TPS on the Omni TB? |
Re: 92 EG Idle problem
theyre all ITR reps.
The omni came with a new TPS . I'm guessing i need to adjust the Idle screw. imma try that tomorrow. |
