Default Fob and trunk button

Hi - I've got a 2019 Civic Type R - the fob / key has a button to open the trunk but this button doesnt seem to do anything? Not sure if this is a fault on the car or if Honda reused a key from another model (e.g., Accord) and the type R doesnt have any ability to open the truck w/ the fob.

Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks

I have a '20 sedan, so I have no idea if it is even close to the hatchback, but if I quickly hit the trunk button on the fob it wont open, I have to hold down the button a couple seconds before the pop. It seems I have to hold down the button a while in the door pocket as well to hear it pop.

Pressing the button will unlock the hatch/trunk, but it will not pop open like a sedan/coupe trunk would. I believe it will allow you to unlock the hatch without unlocking the rest of the doors.

Yeah, hatchback doors don't open on their own. Has something to do with gravity and the angle of the door.
