Default Noob question about CAI

i have a black 05 civic coupe LX m/t. i'm thinking of buying an AEM CAI. i hear that it's good to buy the bypass valve incase a typhoon comes out of nowhere (unlikely to happen in NJ). the problem is that all the bypass valves i've been searching were stopped at 2004 and made for EX m/t. i want to know if that would fit the AEM CAI for a 2005 LX.

this is what i'm looking at...
http://www.procivic.com/pages-....html

also i've been told that other parts from acuras can fit on my car too.
what year does the acura have to be?

thanks in advance.

nah...i think the reason people go for SRI is the fear of hydrolock on a CAI. other than that i think the CAI is better.

I had a CAI and was fine... I am back to the airbox though. Intake makes my slow car too loud.

Yeah I'm with you on that. I don't want other people to hear how much my crappy engine has to labor to keep up with the flow of traffic.

yea I wish I hadn't wasted money on a cat back and short ram but the aem short ram gives me better mileage . As far as cold air for our cars, not enough space not really worth it either
