Default does a CEL for the VSS affect engine performance/effenciency??

can anyone tell me if the CEL for the VSS will make the car run poorly, as it does with engine-related CELs?? (i.e. adding extra fuel to be "safe"?)

this on an OBD-II civic, if that matters.

I don't think so.... I have had my cEL on for my secondary O2 sensor since I got my car. I got an o2 simulator and that seemed to solve my problem.

but yeah I don't think it will effect anything.

awesome. i was worried about killing the cat. and hurting fuel mileage. now i don't have to worry about replacing it A.S.A.P.

what kind of fuel mileage are you getting? and that will tell you if its hurting your engines efficiency or not. and not all CELs are the same so they could effect it or not you need to find out what the code is
