Default Bleeding ABS.

Never worked on an ABS system myself, so here goes. Are there any pointers for bleeding ABS systems over a non-ABS system?

Im wanting to get some stainless stell lines and replace the stock fluid with Motul.

I know if you get air in the system, its very difficult to get it out. Plus, how much fluid would I need on the 7th gen for a complete flush and refill of the system?

Im hearing 3 bottles for a flush, and then 1 to refill it after all the old fluid is out.

I believe the OEM is a DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid, required by the ABS I THINK.

Ill be upgrading to DOT 5, more than likely. Im just looking for a tighter, more reassuring feel to the pedal. And Ive had stainless lines and upgraded fluid before on my Eclipse, So I know the difference it can make.

But more than likely, I wont have any help belleding them out, so Ill probably invest in some "Speed Bleeders" and just do it myself.

if your going to up grade to dot five you need to flush your system out with denatured alcohol (and then flush that out with your dot five) because dot 3 and 4 are glycol-based and dot five is silicone-based and do not mix also silicone fluid tends to develop air bubbles when cycled rapidly most manufactures recomend it not be used in ABS systems

The procedure is almost identical to that of a Non-ABS equipped vehicle.
