Wheel Techniques - Santa Clara,Ca - Rim repair THE RESULTS ARE IN! PART #2
https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...jr/atsDONE.jpg
It's part #2 because I had Wheel Techniques in Santa Clara do my Work VS-XX back in 2005 and posted a similar thread like this before..... this thread was for a set of Mugen M7 wheels I had them do....just an FYI So I picked up by fellow ATS-G brother's set of M7's a couple of weeks ago - The weren't clean but SH*T M7's! NO bends or warps, just had a lot of RASH on all the rims, rashed bolt holes and a few bolt caps where dented and scratched. Not the greatest shape but not bad for some 13+ year old rims.... https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3764.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3765.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3767.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3768.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3769.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3772.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3774.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3776.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3771.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3778.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3780.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3781.jpg <U>Really Bad Center Cap hole damage!</U> https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3782.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3783.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3784.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3790.jpg So I decided to get the lips all re-done and fixed. ROad rash was on ALL the rims and also get the face and cap fixed. I wanted something differant but NOT CRAZY! So I decided on getting a simple polish only and have the bolts powder coated BLACK - They had my wheels for 3 days and charged me $500 for the clean-up and polish. I gave them the wheels with tires mounted and they didn't charge me to re-mount anf balance them - Jeff is the person to talk to as he hooked it up! Tell me what you think...good and/or constructive comments! I love how they turned out! Orignally wanted me bolts to be red anodized but the paint was very thin and WT suggested I go black. I thought the red rivets and some red lug nuts would of looked great....but oh well.... Thanks for reading guys..... https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3801.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3799.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3798.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3797.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3795.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...r/IMG_3792.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e..._jr/dbside.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...e_jr/dbrim.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...ge_jr/cl11.jpg https://i170.photobucket.com/albums/...mtherory12.jpg https://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e...jr/atsDONE.jpg Modified by jdmtheory_jr at 7:01 PM 3/29/2007 Modified by jdmtheory_jr at 7:02 PM 3/29/2007 |

Thanks everyone for your feedback! Much appreciated - I thought $500 was well worth it (IMO) because they normally charge $75-$100 per wheel to fix just road rash - That's $400 right there.....Jeff-WT repaired the rash and blemishes on the face too! He fixed the caps, bolt holes, and the hair line cracks too! And after that, he added an additional $200 to polish them (all four!) and then powder coat the bolts (40 bolts on each rim) - So that's CHEAP! I originally got a quote for $600 but told him I would rock the Wheel Techniques Sticker on my car for HIN/SM and he discounted me $100 - Cool guy! <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by bg-33p »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Wowwowowow, looks amazing, but if it were me i woulda left them original, but they're yours not mines!</TD></TR></TABLE> I know what you mean, I was debating for hours there what color to go with.....I just figured to be differant than the other M7's out there and with ARN/ABUNAI RACING inspiring me.....I decided to go a diff route! lol - I love the powder coated bolts, simple and subtle change.... thanks guys! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif Modified by jdmtheory_jr at 5:26 PM 3/5/2007 |
