Its the CF that connects to the bottom, comes straight out, and is held up with two metal bars connecting the top of it to the front bumper.

Please bear with the shitty description but if somebody gets it please post a pic to help others help me

there is supposedly a special edition golf named R32 supposed to be VR6 with 4motion i think

 

my god! That is the cleanest veedub I've ever seen. Very nice
