hello im new on here and i need help. I have a 08 Accord 2.4L Automatic trans. I stopped for gas yesterday and it would not crank up. When i turn the key the green key light blinks once and i can here the starter click but the engine will not turn over. And also when I lock the doors with the key the horn does not beep when pressing the button twice. If anybody has any input I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

the starter was bad. I replaced it and it fired right up. Sucks you have to take the exhaust manifold off to get to the starter though. Thanks for your input

This is the factory security system stopping it from starting. This is a common issue and leaving many owners stranded. Ive heard u can jump a wire from the starter selionoid and start it without issue every time. I maybe doing this as well and running it thru firewall into passenger compartment and u push button and can start car as normal

As for the key issue, I believe the car won't beep if the hood is open (or the car thinks the hood is open). This is a little bit less obvious than the doors or trunk since you don't get an indication that the hood is open on the instrument cluster. So if you're still having this problem, try checking the security hood switch:
