06 Accord Stiff/Hard Steering At Low RPM
I have an 06 accord with very stiff steering at low RPM's. (NO Foaming or Noise issues At All) I have flushed out the system with 6 bottles (using the disconnect return hose into a bucket and start engine method).
I then tore apart the pump and replaced all the seals from a kit, the vanes looked good and also replaced the fluid reservoir (incase that little filter was dirty). All to no avail. From what I have seen from comments here and there are that these pumps were not designed properly and that there may be a better replacement with larger vanes to increase flow but I am not sure how to figure that out. I did buy an A/C delco remanufactured pump but have yet to put it on thinking I would just be replacing a failed design with another one. Does anyone, know if there was a redesign for the Accords Like The 05-10 Honda Odyssey Had: http://www.urvi.net/forumfiles/SB/A11-039.PDF And does anyone know if that redesigned Odyssey pump would fit the Accord? They look the same; however tho, the first part numbers are same, but the 3 letters after are different 56110-RAA vs 56110-RGL: https://www.hondapartsnow.com/parts-.../p-s-pump.html VS https://www.hondapartsnow.com/parts-...s-pump-l4.html Any advice, opinion or flat out dart throwing would be appreciated. |
Re: 06 Accord Stiff/Hard Steering At Low RPM
I'm having a similar issue with my '07 V6 coupe. Gonna be watching this thread to see if anyone has a solution.
