Remote Start
New to forum but not to Honda/Acura vehicles. I have a 2022 Honda Accord EXL with remote start. How do I know if my remote start actually activated. I have gone through the sequence, per manual, to remote start it but the car did not start even after the lights flashed. My Acura MDX has remote start and the FOB has a series of light that goes from RED to GREEN when the vehicle is started. Is there a way that the headlights or parking lights can stay on when remote start is used to let me know it is on. Side note: my Lexus SUV lights would stay on when the vehicle was remote started and stay on while the vehicle was started.
If this is not possible, Honda should update their FOB with a sequence of lights like Acura so I don't have to visually see the lights flash on the car which is an inconvenience sometimes.
Thanx

On the 2022 Accord EX-L, there’s no FOB light feedback like on your MDX—the car just flashes the lights briefly when the remote start activates. The headlights/parking lights don’t stay on while running. It’s a bit inconvenient compared to Acura or Lexus. Some people get around this by using Honda’s app (if equipped) to confirm remote start, but otherwise it’s just the brief flash. Totally agree—it would be nice if Honda updated the FOB with a status light.
