Suspension noise only while in reverse
I've done a lot of inspection of the suspension on my Accord, and found that the driver side upper control arm has play in it (probably due to failed bushings). I'll get creaking from time to time, but nothing serious yet.
I find that only in reverse, and while the wheels are pitched, the suspension will pop and clunk a little bit in the driver side area. IF this is due to a failed control arm bushing, why does this only occur in reverse? The suspension makes all the same motions driving forward.
Any ideas?

Place the car in a forward gear the cars suspension components will be loaded one way. Place the car in reverse the wheel will try to pull the suspension components in the opposite direction.
Either way the bushings are worn and there is noise coming from that area, it wouldn't hurt to have those bushings replaced.
I've replaced the OEM control arm assemblies (including bushings) with Ingalls camber-adjusting control arms. 6 months later, same bushing issue. Premature -wear that I assume is caused by the control arm running at extreme angles because the car is lowered. Is there any way around this?? Aftermarket arms MADE for lowered cars?
