Rev limmiter at 3grand
Just bought a 5spd 94 accord and i think somethings wrong with the vtec cause it will bounce off rev at 3grand in every gear including neutral makes it really hard to drive up a hill cause once i start getting into the power of the gear it just hits rev😒. Any help will be greatly appretiated

A little bit simplistic, but you said you just bought it. Check to make sure you have a Hitachi distributor with two plugs and both are plugged in. Someone could have replaced the distributor.

Verify there is enough oil in the crankcase.
Low oil = low pressure = no VTEC pressure switch activation = no powa above ~2700rpm.
Verify that your CEL lamp works.
Turn ignition to II(ON) and make sure the CEL comes on during prove out and turns off when the engine starts. If the CEL does not come on then the lamp may be burned out and will need replacement.
