I replaced the motor mounts a few days ago and had to undo the small coolant lines towards the back of the engine compartment. I never bled the system after I put them back and today as the car was sitting with the a/c on, the temperature started to rise which it hasnt done before. I am assuming that air in the coolant system may cause this?
If so, what is the proper procedure for bleeding the coolant system in a 99 accord.

thanks!
You should find a bleeder screw on top of the thermostat housing which works in most cases.
On extremely reluctant examples i raise the front of the vehicle and purge thru the radiator.
I use a spill free funnel with the correct adapter to fit the radiator hole and then let the car run until there's no more bubble coming out. The other way of bleeding is what pete said.
When
1) No more air comes out
2) It stops overheating

Thank you! My friend's 2004 Acura TSX ORIGINAL OWNER with the Honda 2.4L engine and 220K miles started overheating about 6? months ago after someone replaced a radiator hose? Forums said change the radiator fan switch, note plug contacts were perfect. Next, they said replace thermostat; I used a cheap aftermarket one from Amazon for $22. LOTS of trapped air in radiator coolant system - Heater inside set to HI.
I read your comments and removed the radiator cap and a his of air came out then I stuck a yellow funnel in it and ran it for 35 minutes. Outside temp was about 68 degrees. TONS OF AIR BUBBLES. added coolant which flowed to the almost empty coolant bottle. With AC off BOTH fans came on 3 times. Temp gauge show about 1/3 of the way to hot.
Other symptoms:
Radiator fan only comes on with AC on and then cycles.
When starting the car and idle for 15 min to get temp to 1/2 or higher - NO HEAT INSIDE CAR - Heater core hoses are COLD.
TOP radiator hose is very warm
LOWER radiator hose coming from thermostat is COLD.
BOTTOM of radiator is COLD that's why the FAN never comes on!!
Clearly the coolant is NOT circulating properly.
Final thoughts:
Fan temp sensor in the radiator has NO MOVING PARTS and if the contacts and plug are fine there is noting to fail.
