Thanks. I have a 2004 Honda Accord EX 2.4L. I am getting a P1009. Actron who makes my scanner says its a "VTEC Soildnoid" which handles cam timing. There is a TBS about it on 2004 Accords. Does any one have any more information on what a P1009 code is and what I need to do to fix it?

if less than 36k miles car is under warranty take it to dealer

 

I have 77K.. any items on what I need to replace with regards to that error code? I couldnt find a part number for a VTC sensor.

Ironically I believe I fixed it without having to get to the VTC sensor. (Which is behind the power steering pump.) I noticed my oil level was a little low last night so I topped it off but I kept getting the P1009 code. I got some "SeaFoam" and put it in the crankcase because you are suppoesd to check the VTC sensor and clean it out if you need to. What I will probably do is get some motor flush and flush my system out before changing my oil again. I drove the car around during lunch and didnt get the error again.
