Help CEL P1486

hey guys i need some help, i already search but couldnt find anything. i have a 00 accord 4 cyc and this CEL has been a PITA. P1486 Cooling System Malfunction. inspection is a month away and i would like to get this fixed. TIA

first off make sure your rad is full,,, fans work ... t-stat opens on time.... if low on coolant chk rad cap, chk coolant leaks,

i checked all of the things you told me and they are all fine. now when you say them-stat opens on time what do you mean by that? and how do i go about checking it?

Usually caused by a low fluid level or a bad t-stat.
