Default Drivers side headlight problem

so i got these headlights:

and some silverstar ultras in the low and high....

the problem is the low beam will just have a dim glow, and when i hit the brights the whole headlight just goes out....

i checked all the fuses, replaced both bulbs in the drivers side headlight, and nothing..... the bulbs were fine and i rechecked some wiring i did for the headlights and great connections!

could it be the relay? because i pulled out the relay 1 and the pass. headlight went out, i pulled out the relay 2 and nothing happened....?
or could it just be a bad ground on the headlight harness? if so where is that?

I believe you said you did some re-wiring? If so, this sounds a lot like a problem I had before after purchasing a car some one else had played Frankenstein on, with it's head lights. I got a factory wiring diagram and traced down the circuts wire by wire with a test light. I started with the sockets them selves and found that the circuts where complete. But they had plug them into the wrong parts of the wrong sockets. It caused a problem very simulair to what you described.
I dunno, just my two cents. Hope it helps.

yeah i will check all these things it was just re attaching the wires from the harness back together, because they separated with a previous set of headlights....

i will check the grounds and the wires themselves.....

one thing i forgot to include is that the headlights worked when i was driving it two months ago, and it sat for a couple months, the built motor was put in, and now this happened, so i didn't understand what was going on!?!?!?!
