haynes says the coolant capacity is 7 quarts. Is this just for the engine or engine + radiator?

 

fill the radiator to full. run the car and turn on the heat for the car(no cap), then fill the radiator. Wait till the thermostat opens(upper hose gets real hot-still no cap) the level will go down when it opens, fill the system again. be sure to place some fluid in the overflow. usually 3 gal. of 50/50 is enuff.
