Default changing rear disc brakes?

wuts up
i am planning on changing rear disc brakes on my 98 accord ex soon. iv changed front pads b4, but some 1 told me that when u change the rear ones's, the piston has a cross piece on it. there is a special tool to push it back in. do i really need that tool? or can i use a C-clamp? wut is the name of it? thanks for the help. thank !!!

A BIG screw driver will work. You can't just press it in like the front ones, you have to screw it in like a screw.

I used big long nose plyers, planted each tip in the grooves (kind of screwdriver effect) and turned (counterclowkwise or clockwise? not sure..) while pushing in.. worked out pretty fine..
Dont forget to open up your brake fluid cap for the extra pressure

If the blade is like 1 or 2 inches across... Otherwise maybe a small putty knife would work. But I just use long-nose pliers. Besides that, the 'real' tool is only a couple bucks. So now you've got several possibilities. It'll make sense when you see the piston.

But when you're turning the piston (clockwise) make sure the dust boot slides around without sticking. If it sticks you'll wrinkle & tear it.
