heres an easy way to tell.
look on the corner next to the turn signal. normally there would be a small bulb that goes in he little hole. if there is no hole they are. if there is u got GOT!

he posted this question in the V2 thread and i answered no, is there a designated type r rear light? i thought it was year based not model, like the type r tails were the same as any other 94-97 tail light no matter if it was a se, gsr ect...

if so them hmm i learned something new

 

actually i just looked at the tails on my buddys teg witch are real jdm spec typr tails and im correct. but if there just regualr jdm teg tails then i think just the reflector in the backround of the taillight is different
