Default working on car all day.. and

so i'm working on my car all day.. . measuring up intercooler, marking what needs to be cut to make it fit.. (88 crx) , jack up the rear of the car to remove my old exaust setup.. and what do i see? frame is cracked.. ;(

Ouch...sucks, but I wouldnt be too bummed. Just get some metal to reinforce it and weld it on and it will be good as new. Ive seen those on older cars start to break out before. By the way, your engine bay looks 1000 times better with your current setup then the single cam deal with red engine bay

Yeah, as far as broken **** goes that isn't bad. You might want to swing by a bodyshop and get chassis measurements so you can make sure nothing's bent out of alignment before you weld, but I don't think it will be.

Your biggest problem fixing that will be removing enough undercoating and filth to get a good bead.

i would say that someone has been working on it in the past, probably a collision. that will be no problem to fix.take a measurement between the lower control arm bolts on a crx/civic that has not been wrecked and make sure you have the same measurement on yours before welding.
