White smoke when warm! Help!!
Im running a precision SC34
There is a bit of oil in the pipe when i pull off the air filter pipe.
And i have noticed some dried up oil on the exhaust housing of the turbo, but it doesnt seem to be dripping with oil.
Car seems to blow white smoke only when the car gets warmer, ie, sitting in traffic. It occasionally blows large puffs. Now im having problems with the car stalling and not wanting to idle, to me it seems like water is getting in from somewhere and is taking its time to get out??
Oil looked fine when i checked the dipstick, and im still monitoring the water level.
Just recently had the head gasket replaced by a very experienced mechanic, said the motor looked fine, no cracks etc.
Did a dry compression test, number seemed fine, all within 10% of each other.
The only other thing I thought about is that ive hidden my radiator overflow bottle in the front bumper, checked it, was full, emptied it, drove it that day, still the same problems.. but maybe its just taking awhile to get all the previous water out of the motor? I havent driven it since.
Im stumped??? Help?

could be the oil seals in the turbo. coolant/ oil could be leaking into the turbine side, explaining the smoke from the exhaust. Could be leaking into the compressor side and entering the engine, possibly causing the poor idle.
Oh so that does actually explain why im having trouble with idle, makes some sense.
Took the car to the mechanic, got him to check out the smoke, says its oil not water.
When we were reving it, I noticed a bit of steam/smoke coming from the catch can breather (hooked up to the valve cover and black box).
He says its either the turbo seals or valve stem seals, so im going to do some reading and also take off the downpipe to inspect the turbo and hopefully narrow it down some more.

Yes have been meaning to get one done,
If the car drives fine, even on boost could it still be the ring lands? Still feels like it pulls well.
Update:
Just checked the cooler piping, no build up of oil.
Checked plugs to see if this is the idle problem, they look ok, replaced them 1month ago.
