Where to find ZIF socket located in Canada??
I got mine through Digikey... the 3M Econo-ZIF. I've also ordered from Moates across the border but they send me a big frigging catalogue that cost me $20 in shipping on a $5 order that could have been put in an envelope
Like I said... digikey, the 3m econo-zif. Digikey is Canadian, and I'm using that ZIF right now; my brother is using the Moates zif. I used a 40-pin IC socket with long legs and snipped off the extra legs, to space the ZIF upwards above the PA sensor. It cleared the casing just fine; it's quite slim.
3M Econo ZIF gold-plated 28-pin (x2) Part # 3M2803-ND Price Before Tax 17.20 Shipping Cost 8.00 Total Cost 45.37 purchased October 1, 2003 Digikey (www.digikey.ca) shipped through Purolator
That's copied straight from my turbo project.xml file, where I store all my info...
that order was for 2 zif's, so it's 2x as expensive as yours would be.
