what is wrong with my wastegate?
Hey, right now my wastegate tube is connected to my charge pipe, is this good?? Or should it be connected to the manifold? At low rpms like up to 2-3K, I'm hitting about 5-6psi but once I hit the higher rpms when I floor it I can see my guage reading almost 10psi before letting off the gas. Is this normal?

can annnnyyyyyyboodddyyyyyyy heeaarrr meeeeeeee?
is it possible you dont know what you're talking about?
what? ur routing ur exhaust gases into your charge piping????

yo, you're from PA apexii?? what part of PA are you from?
that's where i'm from too. the lager is great but i don't think i've ever had victory golden monkey.

Yeah, I'm talking about the vaccum line.... Why is having it connected to the charge pipe bad? It's a lot quieter connected to the charge pipe and can this be the reason why my boost guage is off? Why are u suppose to connect it to the manifold? And yes I am a newbie to FI. Also to clarify one more thing, is the charge pipe the one with the bov?
aright, thanks.. Now I have another question... My installer also hook my turbo vaccum line to the charge pipe, is this wrong too? If so, where is this suppose to connect to?
doesn't the turbo have a line too? not sure if it's vaccum but it's also connected to my charge pipe (line coming from the left side of the turbo)? I think my installer messed up. Anyone have a clear picture of the vaccum lines? There's only wastegate and bov vaccum right? So what lines are suppose to connect to the turbo?

do you have an internal or external gate??
good luck mang my brain is starting to hurt from reading this.
external (on top of manifold). This is a rev hard stage 2 kit for integra.. I think I found my problem for the spikes in boost. My wastegate vaccum is connected from the top and not from the side. This could be the reason. What do you guys think?

Bingo!
Bingo!
thank god some one hit it on the head and what do ya know its the owner himself don't feel bad i did basically the same thing i have a tial 35mm and i tea'd the lines together and ran it to my charge pipe before the throttle body funny thing i could boost as high as that turbo wanted to go so i looked at the directions more carefully and what do ya know the top one just vents and then boost stayed constant all the way through the gears. It is perfectly fine to run the waste gate to the charge pipe mine works fine the line on the side of the wg is only for boost not vaccum unless you are running a manual or electronic boost controller so if your not then the charge pipe is kick *** to route to stay away from that vaccum mess around your manifold. once again it was only working wrong because of the top port you were using not the charge pipe senario!
Thanks for the info spooled b16... Yup, I changed the vaccum line on the tial to the side one and I am still connected to the chargepipe. Now I'm finally hitting a consistent 5-6psi. I have a .45bar so does that mean I haven't really hit full boost yet? (I'm still braking in the turbo and I don't want to hit too much boost for now)
I still have a question, how does connecting to the manifold work? It seems like if I connect to the manifold it sucks the air in instead of blowing the air into the wastegate (as it does when connecting to the charge pipe).

.45 bar should be 7psi i think. If your wastegate is ran open with no dump tube routed back into your down pipe you should really here it krakln or making what ever loud sound it makes. with mine it's always right at 4 1/2lbs not give or take even half a lb. so now with yours it's trial and error. You can hook it to the manifold and yes when your not boostin vac. pressure will be sucking from the waste gate and no this does not matter. I got to get some pics on here I'll see if i can.
Ya can you get some pictures. Right now my vaccum is still connecting to my charge pipe. My installer says the pressur on the manifold is too strong therefore when the wastegate opens and closes you will hear that loud noise. By using the charge pipe, I reduce the vaccum and at the same time make the noise go away. It seems to be fine now but I believe .45 is only 6.3X psi.
