What would -10an be in inner diameter inches?

Like the title says, also, what does an stand for and why is there a negative sign before the number?

-10 is 10/16ths which is same as 5/8ths of an inch i think.

Yeah, my update shows that the an rating is the same as that number over 16.

-3an would be 3/16", -4an would be 4/16" (1/4"), etc.
