There is not T3 exhaust housing turbo that is going to get you close to 800whp.

I'm assuming this is a drag car?

T3 housing, less than $1000 and you want 800whp.....yeah, that's not going to happen

The T3/60-1 is good for bout 500whp, but is not going to get you even close to your goal. The only two turbos that are going to get you there are the GT4294R or the BW S372R. The latter would be my personal choice. It flows more than the Garrett and ultimately makes more power. It's the same turbo Tony1 used to get his SFWD car into the 8's

I have a 60-1 good turbo to 500 but like they said you wont make close to 1000 hp with a t3 housing and 1000$ you need a little bit more money and a bigger turbo.....

opps sorry i ment 700hp

proof reading owns me

but i guess its no different then 800

what about a t3t67?

i hadnt plan on making it a drag car right away

looking because while i do want the hp. i wont right off the bat want that much hp; gradually build to it so i figure why not just buy a good turbo instead of buying a smaller one just to buy a bigger turbo and waste that money. make sense?

thanks everyone

PImp that picture in one more thread and I vote ban.

The problem with running a 700hp turbo and 'gradually' increasing power, those turbos don't exactly make 'low' HP numbers even at 5psi. You also will have a HARD time controlling low boost w/o running either a single huge WG or 2 smaller WG's.

If you insist on getting a big turbo right away, look at ATP's selection of Garrett GT-series with journal bearings. They have two big GT4088 for just under and over $1k. But both have a divided T4 flange, but honestly you need T4 for 700whp. I would really suggest getting a manifold with a flange with both t3 and t4 boltholes, then starting with an 'ordinary' 57trim for your first 400-500whp or so. If you buy it used, you can usally sell it used for the same price when you want to upgrade.

making 500 or 800hp its gonna cost a ton of $$$$$$$ lol but doing any kinda boosted set-up always turns out to empty ur pockets quick lol dont u wish u just had tons of money all the time?

well like HiProfile said u buy a used turbo that u want just to get some good power then when its time to upgrade u just sell that for w/e u can get and then go ahead with the monster turbo....same wit buyin the mani....either buy one that u can use for both the t3 and t4 boltsholes or just buy a used mani for cheap for ur smaller set-up and sell that later too.....

You should look at some Borg Warner Units. There are T3 and T4 versions of the S366 ETT and it will get you to 800whp but Im not sure if it can be accomplished with the T3 version. The S362 ETT will break 700 whp in the T3 version and the spool is similar to a GT35R or even better.

700whp on the S362 is REALLY pushing it. it is better w/ the S366 or S368. Even in T3 version. Either way , the S362 will wipe the floor with a GT35R

which one? im looking for power but also one without crazy spooling time. id,k if u need the motor
lsvtec 83mm pro 1 cams, idk if that helps the advice

my power goal is around 700hp but people advise going with a smaller turbo so i figured around 500 or so. weekend cruiser with drag racing 2 weekends a month so it wont be a full out race car. will see some street racing so that why im curious about spool time and i dont want to rev above 9k so i would want a turbo that spools around 5k or so.

thanks

Ok. Get that 700whp stuff outta your head. you'll never need it (or be able to control it) on the street anyway.

Now that you've got the power goal set, you can narrow down more.

1. Cost- What is your maximum willingness to pay for a turbo?

2. Journal or ball-bearing cartridge? - Do you know the responsibilities required on each type? (And "quicker spool" is a by-product of the cartridge and wheel design together, not just because it is "ball-bearing")

3. Flanging. T3 or T4? 4 bolt turbine housing or v-band?

4. Do you already have a downpipe? If so, which?

Don't get into a story, just start answering those questions to narrow your options down.

t3/t67HO

not 800whp but over 650 for sure.......is that not enough power? i have a feeling you never felt anything more than 350-400whp on the street with street tires....is un-controlable to say the least.

I'm right at 300 right now at full boost and it's pretty ridiculous on the street. There's just not enough weight in a civic to keep that power planted on the ground

OP needs to think long and hard about what goals and why he wants them.

Damn, idk what to say about 300 on the streets, not trying to talk ****, and there is plenty of weight in a civic, or get better tires, both i and my roommate are making over 500 on the streets with 350+ torque, the car dead hooks 4th gear and is an animal.

On another note, if you are seriously considering 800whp, get a 42r or even would be happy with a pt6776 they make right around 750whp, got a buddy who went 9.45@157 on first pass on pt67
