What to put on the PCV oil valve from the engine?
** UPDATE ** 4/13/02
Now, white smoke is coming out of the PCV valve, and lots of it!! Still has a little bit of oil in it, but not much. Also, same smoke (but less) comes out of my left part of the exhaust manifold and bottom left side of where the head and block meets.
On my boost gauge, instead of regular 20 vac, at idle, it's reading about 14 vac right now. What to do???
** UPDATE **
I just turbo-ed my Integra and I no longer have the PCV oil valve tube going into the intake. The oil and air from the crankcase spits out little bit, so what should I do with it? Should I put on one of those mini filters? Or should I just block it with something? Thanks!

u got blow by time for a rebuild.
Don't use the lil filter unless your gonna clean it all the time. Cause its still gonna spit oil and clog the filter. You need to run a slash cut tube facing the incoming air(intake), ahead of the turbo(You don't want to boost your crankcase). The air flowing over the slash will create mild positive pressure and will keep the oil out of the intake and let the pcv valve do its job.

my turbo LS has no oil coming out of the valvecover (none what so ever just air)
334hp LS. it is the rings i have seen it a million of times rings are wearing.

man i am telling u . u leaned out it's your piston rings. that breather on the valve cover is a good way to see in what condition your rings are in. oil spits out u have worn rings. trust me on this.
Now, instead of oil white-blue smoke's coming out
Everyone's telling me it's the rings! How much will it cost to fix this?

Did anone notice that he said that he had smoke coming from where the head meets the block, he may have lifted the head or just blown the head gasket. I would remove the head and inspect everything you may only need a new head gasket. Just my opinion
OK, thanks everyone for your suggestions!
Can someone give me an approximate estimate how much it would cost to replace the head gasket (parts + labor) and to replace the piston rings (also parts + labor) - so I know that my mechanic wont rip me off?
Thanks again people!

How much is thiw going to cost ?
Without any further information, I would agree that it seems as though your rings are damaged from leaning out and the excess smoke coming from the PCV is blowby escaping thru the crankcase. The fact that you are only holding 14 inHg of vac, down from a better 20 would add to the odds of blown piston rings. Noticed a loss of lowend at all ? What is your fuel setup ? How much did you boost (max ever) ? I would assume that you have a stock fuel system and boosted over 7-8 psi at one time or more ?
As far as the smoke from the head/block seam, maybe you blew a headgasket.
If the rings are gone, you will need to replace the head gasket anyway, so you're gonna need to pull the head anyways.
1st, do a compression and leak down test. The results will prolly show a big loss. Assuming you only blew the rings and did not damage the ring lands (ie: killed the pistons) you will need new rings which involve:
New rings, new headgasket, alignment hone (recommmended), oil, filter, and some other supplies. Depending on how much you pay for machining and the like, you'll be looking at anywhere from $250-$350. I am not up on the prices of everything, so it's all +/-, but here goes: Honda rings $150, Align hone $50-$100, headgasket $45, supplies $25 Labor??? $100-$150
If you have the $$, however, this is the best time to consider upgrading your internals and/or sleeving, but if you don't, you definitely need to invest in some type of upgraded fuel system before boosting again.
Good Luck

Yea, there's definitely a loss of low end. My idle is very bad, moving around from like 500rpm to 100rpm, sometimes stalling the car. My fuel setup is the one that came with the Drag3 kit: Airtex inline pump and Vortech 12:1 disc, everything else stock. I was running rich @ 5psi, but just before the whole thing happened the vacuum hose from my wastegate popped off and I accidently went up to 14psi of boost!! Can you believe it, those f#ckers in the shop didn't even put a zip tie at the end of the hose? They just figured it'd hold on by itself! Punks!
Now I don't have any money right now - that's the whole problem. So, $150 is the price for a set of 4 rings? Can I buy just one instead of 4? You think the shop wouldn't charge more to put on the head gasket too, since the head would be off anyways, right?
Thanks for you help and for giving me the general idea on prices!
