I think youd be better off with at least an ls engine. The d15's have potential dont get me wrong its just you will always want more and to be faster so you might as well start with a better engine. Turbodcx has a fast single cammer, I think his is a d16 though.

I have a friend that runs 10psi with the hack on his and he can keep up/get away from new corvettes. I know he beat the **** out of me and my 02 si with CAI and custom exhaust(I ran a 14.8 at the track) which really suprised me because he doesn't really drive it hard and I couldn't keep up AT ALL!. No numbers but I hope that helps.

What I would like to know is what can you expect with a D16Z with the same setup? Can you feel vtec? What does one powerful cam feel like? There's a guy at a local shop that has a d15b7 with a turbo, built block and stock internals pulling almost 300hp not broken in yet at 14psi. What is that like? How does it react?

You cant really feel vtec in a z6 with or without a turbo. There isnt any noticible jump like on a dohc. Instead, the power just keeps building a little higher than a regular D.

yeah, but I still think I'd like to try rebuilding my z6 and having a little bit fun with it. I am building a b18c now for full drag to put into my 93 civic si and I want to do something with the z6 and I'd like to put it into my 88 crx si and try to get about 250-300hp out of it daily driven while still keeping it fun. I drive alot in Wash. DC so a sick laggy turbo is out of the question. I want something that can be semi-responsive and handle great.

Oh BTW I'm sorry if I did this,

I'm really thinking about Turboing my D15 in my beater next summer just for the hell of it...

just be carefull! Those things are notorious for pooping a rod past 150hp.

My D15b2 = Si head/cam, MPFI PM6 Si intake manifold, DX exhuast manifold with stock exhust minus the cat, full interoir, K&N filter, and zex 75shot. I put 9 bottles through the motor and it never blew up or even smoked when I wasn't sparying it. It ran 15.1@89mph with the stock 155K clutch slipping in EVERY gear ( I had to let off the throttle to turn the nitrous off, then once the clutch finally hooked up I'd WOT it again to re-engauge the nitrous ). The motor also had 155K miles on it. I bet my friends JRSC'd D16A6 in a HF crx, then he switched to a greddy kit and I still beat him...

Funny the car ran 18.1 bone stock 15.4 bone stock with nitrous, then 17.4 with the Si MPFI swap, and 15.1 with MPFI and nitrous.

The dpfi is junk.
