I have a bare b16 block that I'm looking to build and I wanted to know all that I need to finish the shortblock.

Heres my list:

1. Pistons
2. Piston Rings
3. Rod & Bolts
4. Crank Shaft
5. Crank Caps & Bolts
6. Bearings (Main and Rods)
7.Thrust Washers
8. Oil pump & Gasket
9. Oil Pickup & Gasket
10. Windage Tray
11. Water pump & Gasket
12. Crank Pulley
13. Headstuds
14. Tensioner Pulley
15. Head Gasket

Well am I missing anything?

 

your missing the oil pan and gasket. the oil/water pumps don't use gaskets they use hondabond. you need dowel pins to line up the tranny, and dowel pins to line up the head. don't forget the O-ring for the oil pump. you'll need oil squirters or plugs if your not going to use them.

other then that I think your good

I have a bunch of b16 parts like the main caps/bolts, windage tray, oil pickup, etc... let me know if you need anything I'll get rid of it dirt cheap.

edit: you also need all the mounting brackets etc for outside the block, and the PCV system or a catch can setup... timming belt helps also
