well just got back from the track yesterday running falken azenies @ about 20 psi on my turbo hatch and have been kinda dissapointed with the tire choice... i dont know if it was because i didn't do a burn out to warm up the tires or what but, on every run, 1st gear just spun for ever and everytime i shifted into 2nd, I bogged and had to build boost again... but my best 60 w/ the tires was a 2.19 i believe though... not only that, i got madd wheel hop so I only launched at about 3K and rode the clutch till i got traction.. it was a bitch...
this was also done with my inlinepro manifold upgrade... I didn't even improve much with the manifold as compared to my CX modifed style mani.... but i dont wanna give up, will try again next time i hit the tracks....
any suggestions on what i should set the tire psi at and if i should have done a burnout to heat up the tires??
thanks..

get some bfg drag radials and run 1.90's every time.

the azenis have stiff side walls & are ment for road racing.
but they are better than any regular street tires

Azenis have very stiff side walls, and thus, when you deflate the tire, the side wall does not distort, the contact patch does. Try running them at a 30psi.

yup, when the contact patch distorts, it tends to concave and when you launch, The tire is not maximizing the traction area.

For like 60 bucks a tire you cant really beat it.

try some drag radials or slicks next time.

20 psi and you dont expect to get wheel hop with street tires?
With that kind of power, Drag radials are almost a necessity.
