Default walboro fuel pump install, help

I'm installing a new walboro fuel pump and I was wondering if your suppose to use a zip tie to hold the body of the fuel pump to the metal housing? The stock pump slides into the bottom of the metal housing but the walboro doesn't fit as good as the stock pump.

Just installed a Walbro fuel pump a few weeks ago. When you take the old one apart, there is a brown plastic piece (IIRC) at the base of the old pump that needs to be moved over to the new fuel pump. This brown piece sits between the fuel pump (main metal cylinder thing) and the filter screen bag (the white mesh filter bag).

At first, I didn't know to move the brown piece over, and found the new fuel pump sat kinda loose in the bracket. After I moved the brown piece over, the new fuel pump was snug as a bug.

If you have the pieces in front of you, you'll know what I'm referring to.....
