which walboro?
The reular 255lph or the high pressure 255 lph? it's only like a 5 dollar difference...oh yeah, and where can I find a new filter for the fuel pump? The little bag at the end of the pump? Does $107 for a high pressure 255lph pump sound right? Is there a place where they sell it cheaper Than that? Just a FYI, the regular 255lph costs $92...

Re: which walboro? (TurboR616)
It depends on your setup. If you are using stock injectors with an FMU to get pressures up around the 100 PSI range then definitely get the high pressure model. If you have larger injectors that do not require such high pressures then the low pressure model would be fine. I'm not sure whether either would support 500 HP.

Re: which walboro? (Slow_ass_4dr)
I am going to be installing the FMax turbo kit on my 93 Vtec Prelude. I am re-building the bottom end so I can run at least 12 PSI of boost. I too want to upgrade my fuel pump. Please give the site or contact info for the place you found it at this price! Also, in using the MF2 and extra injectors that come with the kit, which pump would be right for my application, the high pressure or regular?

The Bosch is the only pump that I know of that can handle 100+psi fuel pressure. The walbro can not keep up with the high fuel pressures. Once I go Hondata Im getting rid of my bosch and getting a walbro intake pump. art |
Re: which walboro? (Arturbo)
lol, can you count how many times I used the statement "fuel pressure"? http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emhammer.gif

You will be ok...

Re: which walboro? (Arturbo)
hey art.....why are you gunna switch it out though when you get hondata ?
what difference is it gunna make ? thanks man, JaSe |
Re: which walboro? (JaEz)
Well, since I wont be running the high fuel pressure that the FMU makes I really wont need the bosch. If I run the walbro intank with no high pressure then I'll be ok. Also, the noise of the Bosch doesnt bother me but I would like to get rid of the buzzing noise.
But I could use the bosch. art |
Re: which walboro? (Slow_ass_4dr)
I did some checking on the difference between the pumps, and get this, there is very little! The High Pressure pump flows at about the rate as the regular, but where the regular seems to fall off at, the HP one keeps the pressure up! So, if your setup tends to lean out on the top end the HP pump would be the way to go. But just my two cents though...

Re: which walboro? (gsr*lude)
For my prelude I am using the walboro awd dsm pump, it works nicely in a prelude.
|
Re: which walboro? (gsr*lude)
If you're going to be using an fmu on your setup go with the high pressure pump otherwise stick to the low pressure, Also the walbro intank comes with the new filter.
