vortechBOV is always pushing out air....i would say try adjusting the pressure or check in the BOV maybe the valve got stuck on the rubber sealer?????

I put a softer spring in mine to keep it from surging. It never whistled but im sure that would fix it for you.

a softer spring!!!! we can push it in w/ one finger, not even that hard...i think the valve is bad, i did buy it used..but low miles, but god knows how the person before me used it. we hooked up a greddy BOV and it worked fine...so maybe. but i herd the vortech is suppose to do that, but why the hell is it whisling SOOOO loud! ive herd vortech's b4, its nothing like this..lol

huh, the spring that came in mine was really stiff (from a revhard kit) very hard to push in with your thumb. The one i put in feels about the same as a Turbo XS one. try a stiffer spring then. as long as it blows off clean with little to no surge run it.

the vortech supercharger itself whistles... and the supercharger will almost always be making boost, since it is driven by the motor and not by load.
thats why...
