anyone using vdo guages? dont hear much about them in here.

old skool porsches and vw's use VDO gauges iirc . i have the vision series......boost, electrical h20, oil, and egt. they arent that expensive and they are one of the "simplest" looking gauges ive found. mine dont have any playback capabilities...thats what the autronic is for

vision series "turbo" gauge

 

so far i have oil press. and egt but im not understanding how to hook up the egt. it has the light(positive, negative) then it has four other metal limbs that are 1,2,+,-. can you explain to me how to hook this up? im using the vision series(white faced ones though). my oil is mechanical but oviously my egt is electrical. im just not sure what wires go on 1,2,+,-.

 

I have boost, EGT, and oil pressure. They are working just fine.

Oh and on the EGT gauge...

1 red wire
2 yellow wire
+ positive wire
- negative wire

 

i have the vdo boost gauge. looks decent and does its job.
