arp makes import/honda specivic intake/exhaust manifold stud kits, goto arp website and look under sportcompact, they have like 2 or 3 lengths

most turbo manifolds have thick flanges, the stock stud barely holds the nut, not 100% of the threads are used, on the intake side ppl use the phenolic spacers and what not, so u have the issue of it being short.

also, the stock ones, strip and stretch

and i think the arp ones come with a nut that has a smaller head, useful when u have those manifolds with large primaries that prevent the use of the flanged stock nuts

if i was simply all motor i wouldnt hasle with it or even consider it, but with the heat of the turbo manifolds, the amount of weight they hold, and the thicknesses of the flanges, i think its a good upgrade, but to each his own

amen, brother. couldn't have said it better I'll have to check out ARP...i bought some Napa delights, we'll see how they hold up under the heat/stress. in case you're wondering, its 8mm x 1.25 pitch.

that is EXACTLY why im looking into upgraded header studs. The intake ones Im just going to use longer honda ones. No big deal there, but spooned integra is correct, the turbo manifold i got has a REALLY REALLY thick flange, and the manifold and wastgate weight in at 25 lbs imagine a down pipe and a turbo stressing those studs even more. Scary!! im for sure going to upgrade, thanks for everyone that helped.
