Seriously, I hate saying this to people especially new guys....but come on search on something a little before making a thread. Type in a simple "twin turbo" in the search field, search under the archieved threads, and narrow it down to the Forced Induction section. You'll get 63 results.

In general:
A twin turbo setup is a waste of money and very unefficient (pointless) as compared to a properly done single turbo setup. If I were at a car show or cruise in and some dude was saying "yea, I have a twin turbo honda" I would look momentarily. I might as a few question to test his actual knowledge, but in the end I would walk away thinking of that R word....ricer.

Twin GT35R's on a B18 motor. Right. Nothing like ~1300 WHP potential.

Werd. Plus, for that "extra" challenge, this will be on a stock motor as well! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmileo.gif

I know that they are not really as efficient as a single turbo but it is something different to do...And it would look pretty cool seeing 2 turbos when you open the hood..I heard that they also sound pretty good to.
Yes this is a stock motor that I will be running on but only for one summer...you can't do everything at once inless i win the lottery..but thats not going to happen
thanks for the input..
do you have any pics of that twin turbo setup???

Just remember to post it in the appearance forum when you done.To me its pretty tight to fit one turbo in a Honda engine bay.

Josh22999 02-11-2007 01:02 PM

I will make sure to post pics as I go..I am going to do this build regardless of what people say...its there own oppinion.
thanks

Cool, but twin GT35R's is past retarded. A B-series honda could never make the power two of them will support without running alcohol, and you'd be looking at spoolup in the 8000 RPM range, more than likely.

Re: (Josh22999)

something different would be a front and rear engine civic with realtime awd. TT honda's have been done over and over.

buy one turbo and spend the rest of the loot on a build.

Re: (TheThiefTheKnife'NTheGun)

^ Totally agree^ It would be foolish to do otherwise.

jdm_dc_fan 02-11-2007 09:41 PM

TT honda?.......i hope your talking about the nsx.

Re: (jdm_dc_fan)

yea okay, wtf is the point. First of all twin gt35r will cost you more then your car prolly is. Then I wonna see how much that matifold and those two downpipes will cost you. Then I wonna see you fit all that shit in the engine bay. What's next seriously. You will never spool those fuckers with a 4 banger first of all, second of all it's a dumb fucken idea.

I personally think that you are retarded for even posting this.

Mykizism 02-11-2007 09:51 PM

i dont think its a dumb idea.. its proven that single is easy to make good power, but twin 35r setup is dumb too. if anything twin disco potatos would be cool. i would do it if i had time and money, probably not on honda.. but on my 240 with a sr or rb

Why does everyone keep saying gt35r's... his post says gt25r. If he just edited it or something, everyone is right, 2 35r's would never spool. I have one on my car and it doesnt begin to spool until like 4500-5000rpm. I couldnt even image how laggy 2 of them would be lol, good luck with it either way.

Whats that old saying? Maybe a twist on another one but:

"If you have to ask about it, you probably shouldn't attempt it"

For a stock motor, you'd really want turbos more like the GT15's that come on the newish volvos. Their potential is something like 130-190hp each. A GT25 is more like 160-220hp - one is too small for a Honda, two will be too much.

Is that why the 'cool' supra, rb26, and rx7 owners all switch to single turbo? Last time I checked, a ricer did inefective 'cool' things for looks, and the FI section is the last place a ricer should be, and quickest place you'll get flamed.
