I'm new to this. I want to buy a turbo for a 00 Si. How much are they? Like are greddy kits $1.5k? What does it come with? Do i have to buy anything else with it? How much more gas does it eat up? Is it good for daily driving?

 

1.5k for the Greddy Kit? Riiiight, you tell me where you are getting your price from and i will buy 3 of them. The Greddy kit retails without an intercooler for about 3K. The cooler is about another 1K.

 

everyone and their mother will tell you that greddy is not the kit to get and they are the biggest azzmunchers when you want their help and assistance. if your hatch is hybrid??? then it really doesn't matter...i don't care what anybody else tells you, top end is top end and that is no matter how you get it or what name of a damn company you can drop. the actual kit is not up to par with what others are offering but take what you can get. if you know the basics to make power...you can tweak ANYTHING. i'm just saying there's room for upgrading. and i am not saying the greddy doesn't work...i have a greddy turbo ls eg and it way more than holds it own.

 

you can get the greddy turbo kit for 2299 and the big IC for 800. About the same a Drag, unless you get it from Ben@importparts!

GReddy is NOT necessarily a BAD choice. it all depends on how much power u want to achieve. the GReddy kit for a 00Si is about $3000. the good thing about the GReddy kit is that, it is smog legal. the TD05h that is incorporated by GReddy Si kit can hold between 14-16 psi max. it's a good size turbo which means less lag. also get the Revhard....more power
