dont waste your time with xspower.

you will be lucky if the turbo lasts through the first startup.

It depends if you are talking about XS ENGINEERING or XS POWER. XS POWER is cheap knock off crap. If i was XS ENGINEERING, i would change my name to end any confusion.

I can't believe people like you, proliferating LIES and misinformation like this. It is a common known fact XS Power turbos don't start passing oil until you clock at least 25 miles... that's significantly better than initial startup. How dare you try to smear XS Power's hard earned name???

Heh.

If you run across one for pennies... so cheap you feel you can't say no... there is a certain chance the turbo will last a good while. Just don't get all butt hurt when it starts spilling oil past the bearings within a couple hundred miles, which a large number of them do.

actaully j davis needs to stfu... we have built a car that is runing xs power turbo n ss auto mani n dp.. car made 311 @ 10 psi on a STOCK bore b16... kit makes power, lasted for over 8 months now, and car hauls ***.. of course the RLZ tune helps too .. So if you are on a budget, and you properly instal the kit (with the right size feed line, and good return drain) this kit will mkae power and last...

Actually, Darius needs to shut up.

Wes' CRX made 404 whp off an XS Super T70, turbo has clocked 4K miles, and has been shipped to blaastperformance for rebuild since it pukes oil uncontrollably.

Wes also got the T70 for pennies, and knew wtf was up with them.

I touch more SSAC manifolds than you do, Darius, and all except ONE I have tuned had cracking or uncontrollable boost spike problems. I'd roll the dice with one of their turbos, and I would rock one of their ICs, but the mani... nope.

sometimes the mani's work for people...you will be o.k with the intercoolers, bov's, an the wastegate, but be careful of the diaphragm in the wastegate...take the items apart and make sure they are in good condition, from the manufacture they are not always ready to just be slap'd on...

Go to homemadeturbo.com, where most of those guys have used SSAC/XS Power products at some point, because they are the cheapest bunch of penny pinching ***** on the face of the planet. Sounds like they'd love SSAC/XS, right? Ri-ight...

Some of us see pictures of manifolds and turbos broke in half and we don't take the risk of buying a cheap product to try and get "lucky" by saving a few bucks.

Any manifold and turbo that doesn't leak will make power, Turbo XS is no exception. The difference is when your manifold breaks in half and you run over your turbo and have to go pick it up.

Even if the XS power turbo is bad, wouldnt it not help to have it balanced and have the seals/bearing swapped to brand name ones?

i am rolling the dice on mine, i picked up a complete xs kit for 750, replaced the mani and w/g and am going to give it a shot. if something happens i will replace it. i put all my money inside the engine, cause it is harder to upgrade the internals piece by piece as you get the money.

the way i saw it 750 was not bad for a big fmic, reinforced silicone coulers, t clamps, oil lines, all fittings and barbs, and i/c piping that fit with zero issues

oh and in case you are wondering the engine is GE sleeved LS, 84mm. GSR head, JE pistons, eagle rods, ramhorn mani, and turbonetics evo w/g

i guess you just asume as usual.. well, let me give you the 411... my 1st turbo setup was ssac manifold... NO CRACK for 7 months, and still strong on another car... the si we built, ssac mani dp n xs turbo, still good after 6 months, ask howard, my old turbo kit he tuned to 270ish on 8 psi on a STOCK b16, still working.. its all about how you install it, and the bs like BROKEN motor mounts, or NO FELX on dp conected to exhaust, is what causes your cracking issues... arent you the one with the "the thinner the metal the better"?? live up to it man, i know your the ssac king!

Ive been on it for 2+ years and friends also.. No problem. Overal 5-7 setups locally. Like said, all depends on the factor around the engine also. Cant blame a something because it fucked up..Look on the brigther side.

I wouldn't expletive with anything they sold simply because of their uber-shitty customer service. If you read his ebay comments that people leave you see a lot of negative comments. Of course he replys to them.

His replys sound like a pissed off 12 year old with terrets syndrome.
Customer: "Hey, I got the wrong manifold."

SSAC: "It's your fault! Check the box you ******* stupid!"
