Turbo Ideas???????
im sorta in between all motor and FI and dont no which way to go...if i go boost i dont know what turbo to go with..my set up is a 2 liter gsr..portflow head and benson sleeves so it can handle the power...but what turbo should i go with? i was lookin at the gt35r with the 56 trim wheel and .63 a/r but i dont know if thats good cause i dont really know to much so any help is appreciated..also the car will mostly be street driven cause i dont really wanna get into the fuel sumps and external fuel pumps...so i want it to be streetable but sitll make good power...any ideas???
what are you goals with the car? How much do you want to spend? Do you know much about boosted cars (like could you diagnose a problem if one arises)? All thoes questions will help answer your question. To do a kit right it takes lots of planning
i had a turbo LS but it was nothin fancy just a t3/t04b 10 lbs of boost..but im takin my time with this new build so money isnt too big of a deal right now..but like i said..its a street daily driven car..not a drag car..but here in Nebraska there are some quick supra runnin around and a 10 sec silverado that was featured in hot rod magazine...i more or less just wanna be able to compete but without losing all the driveability

ya just a turbo that can whoop ***..but maintain my streetability..im sure my block and such can handle the boost..just dunno what turbo to go with..i just dont wanna lose driveability..and i dont wanna have to add an external pump and fuel sump just to make peak HP...so im lookin for around 500hp or such
The tuning will keep it drivable or not. I have seen alot of very high horsepower cars on here that run daily.
Do a search on here and find out what the other teg guys are running. you could get a gt28rs which tops out around 350, which is plenty for a street car IMO. The turbo spools quick and has a nice are under the curve on a good tune. (I think for a true street car, not drag like you said, i would go with the gt28rs. Check out tonythetiger on here. He has a teg with the rs.)
Good luck
