Default turbo d bogs out.. help

whenever i go 3/4 - WOT throttle, my turbo will start to make boost and around 4-5k it will just bog out and die unless i push the clutch in. my inital thoughts are fuel filter and/ or spark plug gap. i am gonna change the filter tomorrow and my plugs are gapped at .39 and are two steps colder than stock. (NGK) i am running a crome basemap @ 5.5 psi. it didn't start doing this till two weeks after being boosted. any other ideas other than what i have listed? i plan on going to get her tuned next month

The obvious answer would be to get tuned.

how bad does it bog? so bad that you cant rev to 7000rpm? I remeber disconnecting the IACV or somethign liek that caused my car to do that.

Boosting on a basemap with wideband = ok

Boosting on a basemap, without =

Do you have a wideband? It could be lots of things. If you were a tad lean for the last couple of weeks, now you could be really hurting. Any more info?

the blokes that did my motor work said as long as i had a built motor i could run a basemap without damage. I dont have a wideband. I will slowly rev upto about 3500 and try to take off and its like the car is trying to cut out and die, and if i let off and try to accelerate again it wont work, the only way to get it to resume is to just upshift. how much does it cost to have someone do a tune?

Gap your plugs down to 28 and it will fix it.

Gap the plugs down and it will get you by for now. Definitley get it tuned asap.. call shops around you and see if someone can do it. Or contact J-Davis on here, he tunes in NC.

you need to find a decent tuning shop and get the car tunes. they coudl have never been more wrong. you can melt a motor down built or not if it's not tuned. and with FI it's faster to melt it down.
