I have a drag3 kit on my b16a2 motor and i was wondering if i should just get a bigger turbo or replace the exhaust housing to say .82 a/r. The turbo that came with my drag kit doesnt seem like it has enough top end as i want. I believe the turbine is a t04B/t3 turbo w/ 46trim compressor and .63 a/r exhaust housing. And also if i did replace thehousing or get a larger turbo would i gain a noticeable amount more power at the same boost levels. Thanks

the E is bigger, but you should prolly stick w/ the B...since the B16 displaces so little.

 

No...i'm talking t04B/t3. The drag3 turbo kit comes with the t04b/t3 for the b16. I was wondering wut the difference was with that versus a t3/t04b. I just the read specs of the drag3 turbo and ben at importparts said it was a t04b/t3 with 46 trim compressor and .63 exhaust a/r. Thanks.

 

well I think for a B16, a .82 a/r turbine will be way to big. with that size you'll have tooo much lag.

and about the T3/T04B and T04B/T3 its the same thing, just the numbers are switched around. I dont think there is anyone running a T4B turbine and a T3 compressor, get my meaning?

The numbers are used to tell the sizes for hybrid turbos, the T3 tells you the turbine size. the T04B, T04E, etc tells you the compressor trim/size.
