Default trying to do performance and its just not working for me

well ihave been having alot of problems with this turbo kit. at first i had gas coming thru the exhaust manifold and yesterday i took everything apart checked all the wireing and now it doesnt shoot gas thru the manifold but it wont stay started. when it did start it had alot of smoke guessing its from all the fuel that was in the motor when it finally started up it was struggling to stay started. also it didnt rev right like it was in limp mode. had a solid cel. changed chips and still not able to start car or get rid or check cel. but i let it sit for a couple hours and attempted to start it before i went to sleep and it just cranks and does nothing. what could it be?

IMO you should yank everything off and go back to stock, and research turbo kits and turbo installs heavily.

Sounds like you've got multiple issues going on and you don't have any way of eliminating one at a time.

i kno what i am doing. i have been doing research for over 2 years. i have install kits succsssfully. i have never came across this problem before. everything is installed correctly. map sensor is plugged in correctly all sensors are fine. it ran fine stock thursday. installed kit thursday night/friday put in the 450 and resistor box and problems started. its the only thing that i have changed electrical wise. its a d16z6 built block eagles and vitaras, stock z6 rebuilt head, skunk 2 intake manifold, hf manifold t25 turbo 2.5 autoworks charge piping obd1 converted. if u dont have any good information then dont post.

have new spark plugs in. will check the gap today. timing is fine. ign timing should be fine havent moved it. will check cap and rotor today. resistor box is wired the normal way i think. followed http://www.geocities.com/c_rexboy/mpfi.html

Connect the yellow/black wires from the two DX injector harnesses and run it to the yellow/black wire on the injector resistor box.

Connect the yellow wire from the DX injector to the #1 injector (brown wire).

Connect the red wire from the DX injector and run it to the #3 injector (blue wire).

Connect the A3 wire to the #2 injector (red wire).

Connect the A7 wire to the #4 injector (yellow wire).

Connect the 4 red/black wires from injector resistor box to each injector.

start by trying to get rid of the solid cell

unwire all the injectors and resistor box and see if you can get the ECU to pull just the injector code. Solid cells are from serious wiring issues, a fried ECU or a chip that wasn't burned correctly.

Try the ECU on a friends car.

good stuff..

might be better off asking a mod to move this thread to hybrid or the 1988-91 civic section. a lot more dx to mpfi conversion experts there.

see i had the mpfi conversion way before this. used obd1 injectors ran fine. once i went to put in dsm 450 injectors and resistor box is where the problems came along.
