i'm assuming the 2nd....considering the 1st design held the record for drag radial for a VERY VERY long time...until the 2nd came out..then it lost it to the MT's

Are the BFG's the best drag radial that you can actually use on the street?

I use the second style everyday on the street. Its a great tire, but dont expect a long life out of em. Especialy on the dyno. But it is a VERY sticky tire....

I have the second one pictured. I was able to pull a 1.8 60 foot on them one time, on average though my 60 foot is around 2.0 on those tires. As someone stated though, these are super fast wearing.

I ran on both and I think personally the second ones are much better.
They are gummy as hell.

MT's are stickier and last just as long if not longer, only problem is the smallest size is a 26" tall tire.

depends on your term of "best" wear wise..i think the nitto's are favored...but they don't grip ANYWHERE close to the rest. grip wise...i'd hae to go with the MT radials...they do hold the record...but unless you're running a 235/60/15..you're just out of luck until they come out wiht more sizes.

if you want a 205/50/15...you've got a LOT of choices...dunlop, nitto, BFG, hoosier... if you want 225/50/15...then DEFF go with the 2nd BFG's...if you want bigger...MT all the way

I think I'll check into the MT 235/60/15. Those will fit really nice on my audi. 4 of them should grip pretty well I think. I wonder if they will hook in second with the gt42R
