um...normally the stiffer suspension is better it prevents wheel hop and what not. But traction, in general, comes from the tires not the suspension. However camber can play a big role. 0degrees camber (tires straight up and down) means the whole tire tread is directly on the ground while alot of these rice boys with 5" drops only have the inside edge of their tire on the ground..so 1/2 the contact patch.

So if you wanna drop the suspension make sure you get a camber kit for max traction.

The height of your car makes almost no difference whatsoever. The suspension factors that contribute to traction are the spring rate combination front to rear, and the rebound/dampening capability of your shocks.

BTW, you will certainly have traction problems after you turbo your car for awhile because your right foot is gonna have to get a lot smarter.

edit: the height of your car makes no difference, assuming camber remains the same!

Open brain, Insert knowledge.

What does lowering your car have to do with traction? Only reason you'd have any different traction from lowering your car was if you has stiffer springs (maybe more traction) or shitty camber(maybe less traction)

and as Shinzon from StarTrek Nemisis said "...don't be so vague"

From what some of the fast guys say in the Drag & Tech forums, you want your rear inner LCA pivot points to be equal to or lower than your front LCA inner pivot points for optimal launching.

Whoa, wrong answer!! The height of the car is directly related to weight transfer. The lower the center of gravity the better....

this is why imports are inherently faster then domestics. the lower the car the better the areo dynamics.

but seriously, get a good suspension if u r gonna be racing a turbo car. stock suspension transfers wieght like crazy. but dont forget tires, I don't care how much power u make tires put it to the ground and are the most important mod on any car. at least get some springs/shocks and good tires.

just get some bling bling airbags or hydros yo and drop that shiznit so you get traction like a **** yo.

j/k depending on your budget is gonna be the factor here, you can get some $600 setups or $2000.

The spring/shock setup if fine but don't forget a camber kit. i'm not really a big fan of kuhmo tires so i'd look into some drag radials for the front. the tire subject has been covered a million times, i personally like and run the BFG drag radials. falken azians are also a very good budget tire with a good amount of stickyness.

you don't need a camber kit for eibach prokit springs...**** you can't even tell they lower the car at all...i guess unless you have some 17 or 18 inch wheels!

Matt, you are why murder should be legalized. You have been asking turbo questions for about 6 months now. Here you go...

FWD + Turbo = NO TRACTION

Lowering your car WILL NOT help much at all with traction. Only sticky tires, stiffer shocks in the back, stiffer motor mounts (to get rid of wheel hop), and a LSD will help you hook up. You shouldn't have too many problems though just because you would only be pushing like 2-3 psi...
