took the beast to the track tonight
ok this is what happen first run of the line reaction time was .9 something slips in the car rolled off the line slow then layed into it broke tracktion let off a little then second gear layed into it and broke tracktion somemore let off and then got back on third gear i got on it all the way broke tracktion a little at first but then i was alright forth gear took me to the end of the track where i ran 13.9 at 101 ok people this is on 5 psi stock ls motor ls tranny with 6 puk street tires second run i turned up the boost 10 psi get to the line and let the clutch go i was doing the same thing i did on the first run and as soon as i let the clutch go BOOM tranny caseing broke put a big dent in my hood shift linkage fell down and broke somemore of the tranny so i kinda thought that would have been a 12 sec run with the right reaction time but i dont think ill ever go back and run my car at the track again let me know what yall think.
man, what are you thinking... you obviously can't handle the car at 5psi yet... why would you just double the psi (i assume without any tuning)

dude, reaction time has nothing to do with your 1/4mile time. you can sit there at the light for 5 seconds then launch and you will get the same time as if you took off right when the lights went off.

Slight corrections! A complete correction would have required completely re-writing this love story in my own words.
Ok, this is what happened:
First run, off the line reaction time was .9. something slips in the car. Rolled off the line slow then layed into it broke traction let off a little then second gear layed into it and broke traction some more let off and then got back on third gear I got on it all the way broke tracktion a little at first but then I was alright forth gear took me to the end of the track where I ran 13.9 at 101. Ok people, this is on 5 psi stock lsmotor ls tranny with 6 puck street tires.
Second run I turned up the boost 10 psi. Get to the line and let the clutch go I was doing the same thing I did on the first run. As soon as I let the clutch go, BOOM, tranny casing broke. Put a big dent in my hood shift linkage fell down and broke some more of the tranny so I kinda thought that would have been a 12 sec run with the right reaction time but I dont think I'll ever run my car at the track again. Let me know what ya'll think.
Please sell your car and get a kickboard!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so obviously this guy doesn't have the best typing skills..........
........and for all of you peeps who have to rub it in his face you need to go back to your mamma to get some manners while he goes to school. Granted he needs to work on that but why don't you show some respect. This is a honda board not a slander you because grammer is not your best subject board.
Anyways to post to his reply.............
that sucks man. Sorry to hear you trashed your ride. Ive been down that road.
My advice is to take your car to the track when you get it fixed and learn how to launch how to shift, and how to react...... The first best place to spend your hard worked dollars is at a. The Dyno and b. The track.......
On the track you can learn what works and what does not work since you have a clock with several times you can compare. As for the boost stay low for a while. The track has higher traction than street so chances of breaking things become greater.

You know what, I'm genuinely sorry to hear he trashed his ride also. But damn, how can you reply to his questions when you can't even read thru his post??
And I also agree that this honda board is not a slander you.
Now I will go back to mamma.

I swear...Honda-tech is THE best site for technical write-ups and mechanical help for hondas, but id have to say that 95% of the people on this board are *********. I agree that people should use proper punctuation and grammar...but just because they dont doesnt mean that they should get less help. I had to read the post twice to get the full understanding of what he was saying...am i getting all whiney and complaining? If youre taking the time to respond by picking on him you could take the time to re-read the post and reply with a proper response. I think that most people on this board are too hung up on making other people think that they are cool...my advice to you guys is to SHUT THE HELL UP AND HELP OUT YOUR FELLOW HONDA PEEPS. Anyway back to his question...thats a pretty good time for a stock LS on 5psi. I highly doubt that you wouldve seen a 12 but anything is possible. I say get a JDM GSR tranny with an LSD and an exedy organic clutch(for street purposes) then take her back out there and hit 12's. Oh yea....get her tuned before you do anything else. Sorry about all that **** but dont let it get you down...youll be back and better than ever, i guarantee it. Good luck man

you forgot the period at the end of your sentence.
you forgot the period at the end of your sentence.
If you just cranked up the boost without any fuel adjustments you would have blown your engine halfway down the track as opposed to blowing your tranny in the burn out box. Either way, your not running 12's

You might have been in the 12's. Got any parts for sale now. lol
