Default T25 turbo for D16a9 engine? headgasket problems?

Is a T25 turbo from a Saab suitable for turbo charging a D16 honda crx? What RPM will the turbo start to spool and end its spooling(roughly)?

Also I have heard people have had headgasket failure problems when using the higher revs, I have an MSD 6AL of which I have put a 7k rev limit pill, will this be sufficent or shall i lower the cut off RPM to 6000/6500?

any input is much appreciated

T25 fully spooled at 3,000rpm and it stops spooling i hear around 7 but not going to matter it's not like it'll stop making power but the power will seem flat up top. My friend was running 8-9 psi and his headgasket went twice same with another friend his head gasket went too only running 7-8psi seem like a common problem.

how did they get round the problem?
aftermarket gasket? better tuning? or is it just a simple case of lowering the compression with aftermarket pistons, rods etc...

thanks for the reply

Well one of them we swapped a jdm b16 for him and they other put pistons and rods in and a ticker headgasket but hasn't put the turbo kit on yet.

I just turbo'd my d15b and mym head gasket blew cuz not only is it a paper/carbon material but my head studs and yours are stretch type. so anyways i boosted around 12psi and my head lifted stretching the bolts so im installing arp head studs to eliminate that problem and im putting 2 metal head gaskets in to lower compression and whatnot. thats my recomendation. Go D series turbo ninjas

theres no need to rev it to 7rpm that turbo will spool around 2600rpm reach full boost at 3200 rpm which will also be your max torque around 3500-4000rpm and then torque will start to go down and power will stop at around 5800-6000. this is a great low mid range turbo, mix with a short gear si,ex tranny.
